MES is a ONE STOP SHOP TO SATISFY PHMSA MEGA RULE REQUIREMENTS

Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) Mega-Rule (Part 1)49 CFR 192.624 mandates the requirement to create and maintain traceable, verifiable, and complete records to substantiate a pipeline’s MAOP. The most direct way to satisfy this requirement is through sample extractions for laboratory testing.

MES provides the test experience and laboratory capability to quickly process batch samples for wall thickness, chemistry, seam type, mechanical properties, and microstructure. Rapid reporting of test data provides API grade assignment. We can help operators define sampling programs and perform destructive (laboratory) or non-destructive testing to capture this information to achieve a confidence level of 95% per line.

MEGA RULE LABORATORY TESTING

Individual test coupons are machined from field extracted sections. Mechanical and chemical test results are reviewed by MES engineers to provide API 5L grade. Reports are formatted for upload into client database.
